Bob Bruss: Five steps for selling home in a buyer’s market

I’m curious what other Realtors think about;

1) Doing a home inspection before putting the home in the MLS. It’s not uncommon but it’s not very common in Arizona either. An inspection by the seller is a great way to find and take care of small problems early. This will make the buyer’s inspection period go much more smoothly. And sellers can worry less about what a buyer’s inspection will find. Sellers, however, usually don’t want to send the money.

2) Using Bob’s example, would you prefer to price at $299,000 or $300,000? An advantage of $300,000 is that buyers searching for $300,000 and up will also find the home.
