Arizona commercial construction up… but not enough.
Until the housing market rebounds, the health of the construction industry will increasingly depend on the commercial and public sides, which continue to boom across the Valley.
However, those can only provide so much of a buffer, economists said.
“There are a lot more people and a lot more dollars involved in residential construction than in commercial construction,” said Elliott Pollack, a Scottsdale economic and real estate consultant.
