Bob Bruss on home seller’s remorse.

Home sellers need to understand that it is much easier for a buyer to get out of a contract than a seller.

I had a call once from a women who had signed a contract to sell her home to an investor. She had not used a real estate agent. She eventually realized that the contract was grossly to the advantage of the investor buyer.

She said she thought she had an “inspection” period…

well…

… I had to tell her that the inspection period was for the buyer not the seller and that it sounded like she was pretty locked in.

I told her that she would have to talk to a real estate lawyer to see what her options were.
