Housing continues to improve in Greater Phoenix. R. L. Brown reports that new housing permits were up 96.6% over a year ago in February to 855 units. While the level is still low because of the extent of the decline since the 2005 peak, the gains are still impressive. The median price of homes sold in the Arizona Regional Multiple Listing Service (Greater Phoenix) was $130,000 in February, up from $119,000 a year ago.
