Will Lowering Rental Taxes Lower Rents?

Starting on January 1, Arizona landlords will no longer be charged a “sales” tax by Arizona cities. Landlords typically add the tax onto the rent the renters pay.

Will tenants actually pay less in rent or will landlords just jack up their rents.

I decided to run a Twitter poll to see what some people think.


Bullish for Arizona

I assume the construction will wind down as the chip factories are completed but then employment in the new factories will ramp up.

Even if we get a recession, Arizona probably won’t be an epicenter like during the Great Recession.
