Meritage Homes orders down 38%, according to thestreet.com.
The Scottsdale, Ariz.-based builder said that new orders in July and August fell 38% from a year earlier to 1,261 homes. Moreover, cancellations increased 38%. Order backlog at Aug. 31 stood at 5,451 homes, down 23% from the same time a year ago.
