Since 2008, over 14 percent of the single-family homes in Maricopa County have been foreclosed.

So, in 4 years, 1 in 7 Maricopa County homeowners were foreclosed on and that doesn’t even include short sales.

And to get an idea of how foreclosures have hit different areas of metro Phoenix differently, “For 2011, over 3 percent of the single-family homes in the county were foreclosed, with it being 6 percent in Maryvale, 2 percent in North Scottsdale, and 3 percent in the Gilbert area.”
