Could this be the beginning of the end?

Bubble poster boy San Diego has a bit of good news on the real estate front.

According to the North San Diego County Association of Realtors’ latest HomeDex report, the median price for single-family houses in North County rose 2.5 percent in December when compared to December 2005. Compare that to the 4.6 percent decline over the same period in the rest of the county.

The San Diego inventory of homes for sale is falling similar to here in Phoenix.

The inventory of unsold homes also began to stabilize, after a worrying peak of 22,000 throughout the county in late August. By the end of 2006, that unsold housing stock had dipped by a third, to 14,936. In North County, the inventory of unsold single-family homes fell almost 15 percent from the end of November to the end of December, while the condo supply dipped by almost 16 percent during the same month.
