It wasn’t many years ago that Scottsdale was all worried about downtown.
Do your remember the controversy about whether to keep “The West’s Most Western Town” theme? I remember Mr. Saba of Saba’s Western Wear complaining about the lack of direction from the city. (I went to grade school with Roger Saba so I noticed his father’s comments.)
Now downtown Scottsdale is awash with luxury condos. It was and is a spectacular transformation.
